Welcome to Black Mountain Sand Weld

Black Mountain Sand Weld was created in 2019, with the intent to bring an economic sand product to the local Oil and Gas community. Our future facility will be located on the Lost Creek Ranch near Roggen, CO. Black Mountain Sand Weld’s goals are not purely industry related, we strive to be good neighbors in the truest sense by giving back through responsible business development and support of local causes. To date, we have made several commitments for our future Lost Creek Mine, including adding road safety features, a ground water monitoring program, and the creation of a conservation easement in the area, to demonstrate our commitment to fostering long-lasting relationships, and protecting the land and local communities.

Operations Overview

Black Mountain plans to mine, process, and store industrial proppant sand at the Lost Creek facility. The processing of our sand includes washing, sorting, and drying. No blasting or use of hazardous chemicals! We will have an enclosed facility, truck load-outs, and an office onsite which will run 365 days a year, 24 hours a day providing 150 local jobs.

Sand Details

The Lost Creek Mine will be the newest producer of in-basin sand for CO oil and gas operations. The mine will produce a dependable, cost effective, 40/140 mesh sand product.
